These terms govern your use of the Upalert website, Chrome extension, and related job-alerting features.

1. The Upalert service

Upalert helps users monitor publicly available job opportunities, apply chosen filters, and receive relevant alerts through supported communication channels. Upalert is an alerting and productivity tool. It does not employ users, post jobs on their behalf, guarantee job availability, submit proposals unless expressly offered as a separate feature, or guarantee that any proposal will be viewed or accepted.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to enter into these terms and meet the minimum age requirements applicable in your location. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your devices, credentials, connected services, and alert destinations, and for activity performed through your access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse Upalert, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malware, evade technical restrictions, use the service unlawfully, or use alerts to spam, harass, deceive, or infringe the rights of others. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with rules that apply to any third-party platform you access.

4. Availability and changes

We may add, remove, change, suspend, or discontinue features. Alert delivery times and availability may vary due to network conditions, third-party platform changes, maintenance, outages, or other circumstances. We do not guarantee that every matching opportunity will be detected or delivered within a specific time.

5. Third-party services

Upalert may interact with or link to third-party services. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies. Upalert is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for third-party platforms unless expressly stated.

Upwork, WhatsApp, Google Chrome, and related names and marks belong to their respective owners.

6. Ownership and feedback

Upalert and its software, design, branding, and original content are protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these terms, you receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service. If you provide feedback, you allow us to use it to improve Upalert without obligation to you.

7. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Upalert is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or results. You remain responsible for evaluating jobs, clients, proposals, and third-party communications.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Upalert and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data, or costs arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

8. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Upalert at any time. We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, third parties, or legal compliance, including in response to a material violation of these terms.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect service, legal, or operational changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

10. Contact

For questions about these terms, contact Upalert through the support channel provided on the website or within the extension.
